Hi, I configured a build farm and did some build testing and the list of blockers is now actually a bit longer for 4.1.2:
The following is a FORTRAN issue. #6533 sage >= 4.1.rc1 doesn't build on cleo (ia64-Linux-rhel5) Our itanium support is completely dead, since Sage doesn't build on SUSE either due to the Maxima upgrade: #7113 Maxima does not build on SUSE Itanium (Iras) blocker tbd defect doctest -- There is still absolutely zero further progress since my last report on OS X 10.6. Nobody is working on this, but I hope to find time to do so: #7095 os x 10.6 port -- numerous mysterious errors caused by weird "abort trap" issue blocker Georg Weber reviewed this with many helpful comments. I also tested it on some systems and it works: #7021 [with patch; needs work] Update prereq from 0.3 to 0.4 This will be fixed by switching to the new notebook (which I hope to do today). Victor Miller found the "last" known bug in the new separated notebook and I fixed it: #7060 notebook -- templating patch introduces numerous bugs #7080 include new separated sage notebook in Sage On PPC OS X 10.4, Sage doesn't build at all for multiple reasons. Either we fix this or deprecate PPC 10.4 support completely. I think deprecation is a fair option, since it's an OS that is 2 versions behind: #7107 sage does not build on ppc os x 10.4 anymore, failing with mpfr #7115 building cliquer Cython extension fails on OS X 10.4 PPC (with cliquer-1.2.p0.spkg) There are differing reports on this. I think it is just one bad doctest, but Minh observes much worse trouble on the same machine (I bet his environment vars are misconfigured): #7108 Sage 4.1.2.rc0 doctest failures on 32-bit Fedora 9 (cicero on skynet) I don't know anything about this except whoever wrote it (Robert Miller?) should comment: #7111 timeout when doctesting partition refinement code I haven't looked too closely, but there are tons of doctests failures on OS X 10.5 PPC: #7112 os x 10.5 powerpc -- there are many many doctest failures all over If anybody wants accounts on relevant computers to try to debug any of these, please write to me.
