Possibly, but this builds on my home machine.

Done installing PolyBoRi.
Removing dynamic libraries...
Done removing dynamic libraries.

user    15m44.474s
sys     1m34.400s
Successfully installed polybori-0.5rc.p9

The difference is I don't have CC and friends in the path.

The problem is, the default installation of SunStudio will put these 
things in the path (see my email with the subject 'Sun studio links / 
polybori')
