The reason for the failure seems to be that in my tree, there is a  
difference in leading whitespace between the patch and the file; and  
this line (511) is substantively different:

                    time.sleep(1.0)       # in my tree
vs
                    time.sleep(.1)        # in the patch


My tree is a full build of 3.2, followed by a successful upgrade and  
test to 3.2.1, followed by a successful upgrade to 3.2.2 (no  
complaints, at any rate).
