Hi John,
the idea is to get an rc0 out before the end of Sunday GMT. I have a
list of blockers we are considering, but one can always suggest things
to be included. From past experience even innocent looking patches
have required a complete new release cycle which we want to avoid this
time since William is speaking at ISSAC on Wednesday, so we want the
binaries done and mirrored out on Tuesday night.
Re 3.1 vs 3.1.1 see my comment below I made to Jason's post. The dates
were pulled out of thin air and the hope is to start doing releases
somewhat faster and more regular again. Due to Dev1 and the L
functions workshop and various other things I feel I have dropped the
ball a little in the last couple weeks.
