Are you suffering from an extraordinary bout of forgetfulness? 
Some time ago you proposed to promote pytest and build to standard packages. 
I counter-proposed to turn them into pip packages, so that their dependencies 
don't litter our already overcrowded build/pkgs/

We had a long discussion on the dangers of binary wheels. 
You have resurrected my proposal with an addition of hash checking.
