Yes. There are multiple "tarballs" (actually wheel files) listed in 
checksums.ini and uploaded/downloaded to/from GitHub Releases and the Sage 
mirrors  
Together they cover the supported platforms.


Thanks. I confess that I misunderstood things about installing sage from 
source. I thought, for example, sage-10.4.zip contains all upstream source 
tarballs (files in /upstream) so that it can be used to install sage from 
it without internet connection. My question was based on the 
misunderstanding. Unzipping the zip file (first time for me) proved that I 
am wrong.
