Just a belated report on 2.10.alpha1. Built and installed on my Equium laptop: Intel Celeron 2.93GHz processor, 512 Mb memory, running Ubuntu 7.04. All built OK, but I've lost the timing info (it did seem to take a long time).
Ran 'make test' which took 4831.9 seconds, but reported the above error. Located ticket and applied fix, which looks like it just corrects the expected output to match! :-) reran that single test and got OK.
