Somewhat belated report - I've built 2.10.alpha1 and, apart from the above bug reported by Jaap, all looks fine on my Ubuntu 7.04 system. It took quite a long time to build, but unfortunately I've lost the timing! I ran 'make test' and got the above bug. Managed to locate the ticket (eventually) and applied the fix and reran that test, so now all clear. Time reported for make test was: 4831.9 seconds (this was prior to applying the fix). Machine is a Toshiba Equium, with Intel Celeron 2.93GHz, 512 Mb memory running Ubuntu 7.04.
