If Alex is around, I'd love to hear his comments on the current Sage 
notebook and what the plans are with Knoboo (it appears like that is 
indeed the project: http://www.knoboo.com/ )

Well, I guess I've been headed that direction lately (no promises, 
though! :).  There are definitely some interesting directions in which 
we could take the interfaces to Sage.
