Something has to be accepted, as it is loading arbitrary code into  
the browser... I am hoping to limit this to a single dialog box  
(hopefully with more information) accepting a certificate signed by  
either Sun, or by the one enabling https in the notebook. Currently  
https + signed jars + client-authentication-requests causes a huge mess.

Yes. This happens when the browser refuses the applet to request a  
resource from Sage.

All of the above is the "robustness" issue I was talking about. I  
really like the idea of a "java3d try-out," and perhaps those of you  
reading this list could be the first ginny pigs when we are able to  
resolve some of these issues.
