I'm definitely interested in helping with the Linux packages. I have some preliminary packages (is that the right term?) for gentoo system. The report of my progress is at http://math.berkeley.edu/~syazdani/gentoo. The website is a bit out of date, since many prerequisite packages seem to work on gentoo without a problem. Of course, gentoo is not the most popular linux system, and having a something that works perfectly in it won't make a huge dent in the user base. :) For the next month, I will be busy writing/editting thesis though, so this will be a summer or later project for me.
