OK, I've figured this out with Robert Miller's help.  The solution
is that /etc/hosts pointed sage.math.washington.edu to 127.0.0.1,
but should point it to the real ip address of sage.math.    So now
www.sagenb.org / www.sagenb.com / sagenb.org, and sagenb.com
all work.
