I have obsoleted *smtp-hostname* now, and instead added support for *smtp-from*. No more "magic joining", but if you want set from=Madou Mad <[email protected]> and send that via outlook.com which wants to see MAIL FROM:<[email protected]> and nothing else via SMTP protocol, then one can now simply set [email protected] and it will work. I could not imagine that @outlook.com would be a regular part of a user name, it seems a bit odd. Anyhow, my error, smtp-hostname added too much magic; it likely would have been different if it would have been added later, after we added expansions. For example i know have \set hostname=outlook.com \ ... [email protected] ... \set smtp-from=$user \ from='Steffen Nurpmeso <[email protected]>' And whereas i have not tried whether that really works, if that would have been the problem, it would :-) I have given you credit as Madou Mad, please complain if you have specific desires.
