As discussed during IETF122, and during the adoption of
draft-ietf-regext-epp-quic and draft-ietf-regext-epp-https, there is a desire
to add some clarity to our Charter regarding the work can and should be adopted
by our working group.

The Chairs have drafted the following proposed changes. As noted during the
discussion at IETF122, these changes are intended to reflect what has been true
over the years. These changes are not intended to change or broaden the work
that we have been doing.

Having said that, the working group is certainly free to reconsider the scope
of our work. Please do reflect on the work we have done and the work you
believe we should be doing going forward. Then consider if these proposed
revisions to our charter represent our work as you see it.

As I am most comfortable working in documents in Google Doc, I imported our
charter into a Google Doc and made the suggested changes to it. You can find
the redline here:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZEqVSc28YoiFJKDKlXgBfLHUSpYKfS1OIIgz4aVBOq0/edit?tab=t.0

Everyone should have access to that and the ability to add comments and suggest
changes by editing the document directly. You are encouraged to do so. If
anyone has a problem accessing or using Google Doc please respond to me
privately and I’ll do my best to accommodate your needs.

Please review by COB Sunday, 27 April 2025.

If you have objections or a material suggestion to make, please do send a note
to the list and start a discussion of it here.

If there are no objections or material changes to consider, the Chairs will
post a final version and redline directly to the list here for a final 1 week
review period.

Thanks in advance for your review!

Antoin and Jim
