Are you talking past each other? Section 5 lists extensions that are
already registered. Why would the authors need to re-register them?

[PK] This discussion is about the extension identifiers fred_version_0, artRecord_level_0, platformNS_level_0 and regType_level_0 which are not registered and should have been.

Maybe I was ahead of myself by thinking that the mentioned change in IANA considerations would just block registration of those mentioned identifiers.

So just to consider when drafting the new text, that rules in the IANA considerations and in 2.2 don't forbid registering these identifiers for the original extensions.
