        May I suggest that RH provide a file called VersionChanges.txt
        (or similar), on the www site and the CD  written for an
        experienced system administrator wherby the said administrator
        may make the necessary modifications after an uprade.

example entries may be of the form :

i       changes to innitab are ... (whatever .. beacase ..)
ii      pine 4.X now requires openssl .. etc
iii     there is a file called /etc/profile.d/colorls.sh which does...

        .. etc ..

I'm sure many (thousands) of others have incubated this idea also.

I do think it would remove the  "how come xxx isn't working now"
questions to a considerable degree.
