Ed,
Thanks for taking the time to read my note! It is really
frustrating as they have several new scripts in the
/etc/diald directory called 'demon' and 'roan'. Yet I have
scrutinized the man pages and all other documentation and I
cannot find a single reference to these scripts - as a
result I am just SOL!
Diald has however served our office well for over 2 years
-at an earlier and document version level. We don't need
high volume traffic just two or three people to check their
e-mail and move a file to our web site once a week with a
schedule. Very little web surfing. We also cannot get DSL
service at a reasonable price even though we are in the
fastest growing part of our city [Davenport, Iowa] where
need to high-speed connections are greatest, Quest can't
seem to get it's act together.
  Thanks again.
