No problem, glad to help. As for diald I must admit I have not used it
before but I see it on the ftp sites such as ftp.sunet.se. I use the demand
option if I want dial on demand but I know there is much more flexibility
with diald which makes sense to me why others would prefer to use it. I am
an ex- ISP owner/operator for 4 + years and I really miss my old T-1 line. I
have been dialing now 56k via earthlink and I use the persist option as it
is so difficult to dial into their modem pool at peek hours and after 4 +
years of solid connection you get used to the net being there when you want
it. You could actually wait hours to dial in if using dial on demand in my
case at least. I am still waiting for DSL to show up as I am rural with no
cable. Satelite is an option but expensive. I am sure someone on the list
will give you a site where the latest tarball can be downloaded and
hopefully an answer to the use of mandrake RPM with RH 7.0 as I have not
done this either.
