Don't think you need to update GNOME as well, but it can't hurt of course.
However, unless I'm completely wrong, the Rawhide X 4.0.1 RPMs are in
version 4 format. That will create problems, as updating RPM is a PITA. I
think someone posted a message saying that RPM 3.5 (?) groks RPM 4 db files,
but I'm not sure.

Otherwise, XF86 4.0.1 is a major step forward, and IMO works much better
than 3.3.x. You could always do it manually, and just get the tarballs plus
the installer from www.xfree86.org, but I believe the Rawhide stuff has some
added patches in them for RHL.
