Well yeah. I've never really understood the Java craze. Sure, it's a nice
language, yes. Very quaint for little applets and what not.*smile* No, but
really, I mean, think about C. C took something like 10 years to catch on
in a time when Fortran and Basic were considered "cutting edge." And now,
of course, (C && C++) are the backbone of unix/linux systems.
But my query is, how the heck are they working on an OS without a kernel?
Doesn't that defy everything about bootstrapping a machine? Is it supposed
to be terminal or workstation based? Is JOS getting attention just because
"java" has been such a buzz-word, or will such an endeavor be as
unsuccessful as Xenix?
Oop! Once again, I end a reply indriectly bashing Microsoft :)
I guess what I'm looking for is reference to more specific info.....I'm
intrigued. thanks :)
