Hi. I am running RH Linux 7.3. I am not new to using UNIX but am new to doing system admin tasks such as installing and uninstalling software. I have never upgraded Mozilla on my system. Currently I am running version 0.9.9. I would like to upgrade to version 1.4 but don't know if it's stable on this version of Linux. From what I read I have to upgrade the JRE and the glibcc too. Has anyone on RH Linux 7.3 upgraded to Mozilla 1.4? If so then did you have to upgrade the JRE and glibcc?

Also, I am not sure where to put the newer version of Mozilla. When I installed Linux on my machine it created a couple mozilla directories. One under /usr/lib/ and another under /usr/bin/. I want to be able to allow Mozilla to be run by anyone who uses this machine. Will the install automatically set up the locations of the Mozilla 1.4 directories as it was done when I installed Linux? As you can tell I am a little nervous about doing this. I just want to make sure that I don't royally screw up my system.

Does anyone know what the encrytion level for the latest version of Mozilla 1.4 is? I was trying to look this up on the web page and could not find the answer.
