Fryclau You sound as if you do not like rpm and see it as only something to use if you have to. I on the other hand only install packages manually if there is not rpm available and have been known to spend inordinate mounts of time to build an rpm from tarballs that could be then installed :) Cool thing about linux - TIMTOWTDI (There is more than one way to do it). BTW squirrelmail talks to imap or pop servers that server mail to read mail and only uses the mail transfer agent (sendmail by default on most distros I think) to send mail.
