I don't think a very hard timeline has been established for the release of 8.1 - but I could be wrong. You could do 2 things: 1. Download 8.0 - try it out - and if you like it buy a copy of 8.1 and then upgrade your install. 2. Buy 8.0 now and upgrade it with a download of 8.1. I guess the big question is how long can you wait to install RH? :) Hope this helps.
