Yes on all counts. One point of note is that with RH 8 you will have to install mp3 support for XMMS as an addon since the distro does not come with it anymore due to copyright issues. > > hardware like > - scanners > - CD/DVD-burner > - Zip-drives > - DSL- ISDN- ards > - SCSI-cards & dirves > - local and network printers Yes - but I would check your hardware against RH's Hardware Compatibility list: http://hardware.redhat.com/hcl/?pagename=hcl > > Second: Can RedHat run on a PC with both Windows and RedHat installed > (on different HD's)? Is a bootmanager inclueded, that can manage these > systems (no boot-disk needed)? Yes - RH comes with grub by default as well as the older bootmanager LILO. Both of these can be installed the the harddisk. > > Third: Is the documentation included the Distribution precise enought to > help building up a (very little) network - starting with 2 or 3 > computers? Yes - the guides included are easy to follow. http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/ is where you can find the manuals they include - take a look and see if they answer the questions you have before you install. > > Last: Are there also german mailing-lists, and can the lists be recived > on the computer, or can i only read them at the RedHat page?
