Come on Dee,
What kind of advice is this!?
XFree86 works fine with the S3Virge cards (I had some problems I have to
admit but now its running stable as stone).
Then one comment about AcceleratedX beside the fact that it costs a
hundred bucks or so, We got it since we bought a couple of boxes with a
Permedia II card and I couldn't get the suse glint server running, I made
the mistake to install the X libraries that come with AcceleratedX and KDE
wouldn't start anymore until I noticed that those Libraries where from
1993!! I asked the guys at XIG about it and they just told me:they're not
quite as old and they use them because they are the most stable. well nice
but somehow not really apropriate on a fast evolving system like Linux.
Besides was not the case that I got AcceleratedX and installed it and
everything worked.
greetings,
 Clemens
