Hah, I remember trying that. Getting it to even have a chance of working
required (this was with 4.0.1/2.2):
- hacking agpgart
- changing the part of the ATI driver that explicitly disabled DRI if there
was a flat panel display
- running on an external display (not enough memory to run at the FP resolution)
And it still didn't work.
