Greetings:
I have been running RedHat 5.2 (2.0.36 kernel) on this machine for a couple of months,
without problems. Yesterday, I upgraded to 6.2 (2.2.14 kernel) and the machine
refuses to start Linux. The installation was uneventful, and I can run in rescue
mode.
During a normal boot, I get a log message about a general protection fault: 0000 while
"Disabling CPUID Serial number."
Any help would be appreciated.
