You DID sound like a Red Hat person, and you DID claim Red Hat allegiance.
I've seen people clearly representing another company doing so from their
personal account; the use of your personal account means nothing to me one
way or the other.
Worse, your assertion DID read like a statement of fact, and no doubt it's
been archived all over the world by now, in archives great and small, for
people to read out of context.
