this is supported by another response i got in private email from Gerald
Henriksen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; he claims that the upgrade will work fine
if i change the id on my NTFS partition from 7 to 17. after upgrading,
change it back to 7. i haven't tried it yet, so i cant comment further.

bzzzzt. try again. the big reason that i switched from Slackware to Red
Hat several years ago was that i was sick of the upgrade==reinstall
philosophy of Slackware.
this is a really lame bug. how uncommon is it for someone to have
NT4 on the first disk and Red Hat on the second? it's gotta happen
all the time. shame on Red Hat.
