The same thing happened to me.

I believe the problem is that RH installer couldn't tell the hda1 is an NTFS
partition. I would believe that it is a bug in the installer.

Just try to back up your configuration files and reinstall 6.1, keep your home
and usr/local partion. This will solve the problem.
