She did live in England for eight years and came back here about twenty years ago.

Then she got some idea I thought I was better than her which was not true. I had just gotten married and was learning to cook and other things. Lightly grease 1 1/2 quart casserole. Layer, in order, 1/2 of the tomatoes and onions. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and basil. Top with 1/2 of the cheese slices. Repeat for the second layer. Toss bread crumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over top of cheese. Bake, uncovered, 30 to 35 minutes or until tomatoes are tender. Serves 6.
