Good point about the tapered insulation, August. However, sometimes you can
use a larger base with a decking-only attachment without crushing the
insulation. The IronRidge Flat Roof Attachment (FRA) is a large diameter
base with a LOT of fastener holes. They also do angled fasteners and you
can get really good uplift capability with a decking-only attachment.
