Adam, We have never pinned the pipe directly. But we have pinned into ledge with a short but wide sono tube. Cold Rolled steel rods through the 3" pipes to lock into the pour. In this case we let pipe condensate drain into small sand bed under the concrete pour. Extremely solid install in windy location on ledge.
