Benn, Seams have never been an issue, because the material is large enough that it doesn't require seams. Pond liner comes on a roll about 15' wide, so a 48" or 66" slice can line 2-3 boxes. We cut a rectangle about 12-14" longer in each direction than the floor, centering the material with 6-7" up each side and stapled in place along the top edge. A simple corner fold at each corner works well. I have found it in stock (typically depending on the season) at Home Depot.
