Ray,
Sorry I don't have a picture to share but the Ilsco GBL-4DBT lugs
I've used here in the Sierras of NE Ca. are looking good after seven years
on the job. I would rate their appearance as if they were outside in the
weather/sun/rain/snow for about 2-3 months, slight discoloration, zero
corrosion.
As a matter of fact, I just was on the list about a month ago asking
about some Shell SM-110-12Ps that I'm having an output problem with. The
system is 6 years old and I inspected all the Ilsco lugs whilst removing and
testing PVs individually. The lugs looked in good condition, no corrosion
anywhere.
That's one wrenches experience.

A picture is worth a thousand words, (hopefully this will upload)
Here's a traditional Ilsco Lug after less than 5 years near the ocean:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IMHO, this is a galvanic reaction between the Cu, Al, and (our loser) the
Lug which became the anode.
No other corrosion was near this state of deterioration (frames, etc), and
ALL the lugs looked like this on most systems I've seen over 3 years old on
Maui.
I've seen advanced Ilsco lug corrosion in New Mexico as well, so don't think
you inland folks are safe.
My fellow wrenches, this is NOT a good way to ground modules.
The WEEB is not just faster to install, it is a vastly superior connection,
and is now being accepted by most AHJs; its also stainless steel.
Can we please continue to move forward into the 21st century, Sunpower? Your
modules are the best, don't make us go backwards.
