Peter,

Would a #12 2" self-driller with a carbon steel shank and stainless steel
hex head with attached washer do?

I use the T-5 Scots screws that I get from Dynamic Fasteners.

I use them to attach ProSolar al. mounting rails directly through roof metal
and into a 14g or 16g z-bar purlin.
(I use a 1/4"-thick hypalon rubber pad to separate the rail from direct
contact with the roof.)

Does anyone have a source for stainless steel, self tapping Tek screws? I
could use some #10/3-4 and #10/1-1/2. If they have the little cap and
neoprene washer that would be even better!
