I had these on a couple of errand bikes -- err, well, one was a trike. It
was very nice to be able to discourage messing about with the vehicle,
which is all you can expect these locks to accomplish. I particularly liked
that the key would not remove from the lock until you locked it, thus
sparing me many chances to lose my keys.

I suppose the fork lock provides the same degree of safety.
