Minh:

You could mount a Large Wald on the Platrack - they're pretty big, as you
probably know, and I they're not big enough to get the cargo inside the walls,
you could always just stack either on top of the basket, or tilted into the
basket, comme ca (this basket is a small, but you get the idea):

As for the Gino's mount, I installed a VO light bracket (here:
http://store.velo-orange.com/index.php/accessories/lighting/vo-rack-to-light-bracket.html
) to the hole at the front side of the Mini Front (using lock washers and a
nylock nut), then the Gino's mount to the other end (again with lockwashers and
a nyloc nut). It didn't seem like it should be sturdy enough for the quite
heavy Exposure MaxxD headlights I put on the mount, but in fact it held them
perfectly, and the lights were well-protected. Instead of the VO bracket, you
could use the Boulder Bicycles bracket (here:
http://www.renehersestore.com/servlet/the-341/Light-Bracket-for-Edelux/Detail
), or a home-made one from an old brake, like this one from Somervillain on
Flickr:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/7516215@N03/7405521178/in/set-72157635818887783
and as installed here:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/7516215@N03/8733550136/in/set-72157635818887783 ,
  or from an old chainring:

I think the home-made solutions are all pretty cool.

Tom

Subject: Re: [RBW] Re: Platrack Real World Feedback

Thanks all for the feedback, follow-up question. I was planning on putting the
med wald basket back on the platrack, but looking at Jays pictures, i'd lose
the ability to really pile stuff on there, anyone come up with a happy medium
between the flexibility that Jay shows in his pics versus the risk/danger that
Tom highlights with not running some kind of platform on top?

Slickersack is out for me as i have a moratorium on new bike luggage ;)

Tom unrelated question, it looks like you were able to get a Gino mount
attached to the lower arms of a Nitto Mini Front Rack, what hardware did you
use to secure it?
