Clyde -- generally speaking, very good advice, to have a good bike shop build your wheels. That is my usual practice. But money is short and I am trying to get the Ram fully built with parts that I myself own (the wheels on it presently belong to my brother). We'll see about building my own: wil probably have to build at least the front, as the wheelset I was offered includes only a front rim.
