Just made the call and my new A Homer Hilsen frame is on its way. I would appreciate some guidance on the build. I am looking to work with my local LBS as well as people in the group. What's the difference between the Sugino XD600 and the XD2? Rivendell suggests using a 110mm bottom bracket with any of their bikes with the XD2 and information on the XD600 suggests a 113mm. Is the 113 suggestion a generic or safer (more clearance) one? Suggestions? I like the idea of using older derailleurs like Suntours or similar Shimanos for the aesthetic but want to run the triple crank and the 8 speed cassette. Will that work? I'm more than okay with friction shifting and might use some Suntour down tube shifters. Thanks in advance for the help. David
