I am getting a new Sam with Newbaums and was thinking of shellacing the Newbaum's some time. How does shellaced newbaum's feel? Crusty? Sharp? Scratchy? Looks like it would encrust the cotton tape in a candy-like coating. Can the tape be removed and reused, or do you have to cut off like a cast, so to speak? Just wundrin'.
