To get a bar tape that is a good match to the kidney bean color found on some Rivendells, Newbaum's tape in maroon with one coat of CLEAR shellac hit the mark to my standards on my Hunqapillar.
I recently put up 3 pictures of the Hunqapillar. Here I add two more without the flash reflecting off of the bag and tires. I can't think of anything I wouldn't do with this bike. Albatross bars VERY far extended with a LONG stem have been good for me. I knew you had to get them forward more, but I think on my first try a couple years ago, I didn't go far enough. For me, none of the Nittos would be long enough for use with Albatross. For me, Albatrosses work well with something even longer like an early 90's mountain Ritchey. Luckily, I had that in the box. Rivendell should get Nitto to make those again for use with the Bosco (nonBullmoose) bars. The 25.4 clamp would be a match too! Finally, Newbaum's tape is really nice.
