Some have done bolt-on derailleur hanger conversions. Problem Solvers makes a 
neat one that's part chain tensioner, part derailleur hanger. But the best way 
to do it is probably to get some sort of IGH. The biggest issue is dropout 
spacing. Most IGHs are 130-135 mm, while the QB is 120 mm. Cold-setting is the 
obvious solution, but you may be reluctant to bend an expensive frame. 
Personally, if it was mine I'd either do a Sturmey Archer 3sp (maybe with 2 
chainrings) or I'd sell the bike to buy one with gears.
