I measured on my Bombadil. My Nitto Mini went right on, and the distance does seem closer to the 150mm you are getting from your rack. I have a second Nitto Mini that I had run on my Hillborne. That also went right on with no special effort. When I can find that rack I'll measure that, too, but I think its pretty likely that they are all ~150mm.
If you were to take on the bend idea, I think you'd want to try to slightly straighten the bent arms.
