I live on Mount Desert Island and highly recommend the Acadia Carriage
Roads. I ride out there everyday and am always open to showing them
off to any rider with interest. I own the Trailhead Cafe' in town and
can be reached there most days... or met out on the carriage roads as
the local retrogrouch.

With regard to D2R2... I've ridden the long course the past two years
and wouldn't consider myself in superb condition or to have mad dirt
road skills. I found it to be a nice long ride in the country with
LOTS of climbing. Maybe I'm selling myself short and am a stud in
disguise!
