Storage conditions and UV can negatively impact tires, especially sidewalls. The last pair I ran was pretty old - they got swapped out when I started running Jack Browns and I had to force myself to remount them to wear them out. But, they hit threads on the tread about the same time the sidewall was just starting to get ugly (no holes certainly, no specific problems, just getting to that point where it looked and felt a little crackly in places.) But, again, the condition would be something I'd attribute more to the age of the tires than the tires themselves. - J -- Jim Edgar cyclofi...@earthlink.net Cyclofiend Bicycle Photo Galleries - http://www.cyclofiend.com Current Classics - Cross Bikes Singlespeed - Working Bikes Gallery updates now appear here - http://cyclofiend.blogspot.com "I had to ride slow because I was taking my guerrilla route, the one I follow when I assume that everyone in a car is out to get me." -- Neal Stephenson, "Zodiac" -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
