Aloha! Glad to have you here and enjoy that Bleriot.

I always carry a spare tube when I'm on my Quickbeam. I also carry a patch
kit so that I can swap and repair. I've actually had two flats on the same
ride but that was my fault. I'm riding 35mm Paselas and It turned out a bit
of glass was embedded in the tire and the once over I gave it didn't detect
the problem. After I had the second flat I bent the tire this way and that
and found it only because it poked out when the tire was really deformed;
even a light bending didn't reveal it. That day I only had a spare tube
having misplaced the patch kit. Never again.

I use an Acorn medium bag for the most part so I can carry pretty much
anything.

I've got:

Tube(s)
Patch kit
Multi-tool
chain tool (probably not really necessary till it is)
15mm wrench
Cable ties (massively useful)
CO2 cartridge & pump (overkill true - but I'm lazy and worried I'll have
more flats than cartridges).

I really don't worry about weight so overkill is fine. I'm not going
anywhere fast.

I'm lucky here on Oahu though. All our buses have bike racks and I'm not
much more than 2 hours by bus away from anything if I do end up having more
trouble than I can handle. Indeed I often simply ride one way with no plans
on riding back and take the bus home. That way I can get to North Shore the
long way (75 miles), spend the afternoon, and not have to make it an all day
150 miles ride (actually there are a couple shorter routes but they involve
more climbing than I'm anxious to do at this point).
