Another thing about the fork repair situation, it is an opportunity to
add cable guides or rack mounts like the author David Rowe did...

IMHO, I think the QB handles nicely off-road with the stock fork, so
maybe it would be good to have a custom fork made to experiment with
low-trail--  that way you can switch between the two.    Of course, a
custom fork ain't cheap, but relative to the cost of the frame it
doesn't seem too bad (in the article Rowe mentions it was 250 bucks).
