Kelly,

I'm where you are. But I'm still riding my aluminum/carbon bike until
I save enough for my rivbike.

The proverbial straw was getting ready to go to Traders to pick up a
few things. I had an epiphany when I realized I have to get kitted up
to go to the grocery store on my bike. It was then I decided I need a
new more comfortable and practical bike. I haven't looked back since.

I tried a Betty Foy at RBW and I felt like a kid again. No clipping
in. No diaper pants and not tight smelly synthetics. I didn't even
wear a helmet (shh don't tell anyone). It was the best feeling I had
on a bike in a long time. Since my visit to the Mothership, I've
gotten rid of my computer, started wearing cashmere sweaters and hats
on my commute and put a basket on my racing bike. I still have cleats,
cuz I refuse to put anymore money in this bike.

I can't wait to get my Riv. Your enthusiasm is contagious.

Thanks for the excellent write up.
