I put the curves of the Albatross bars at the same reach as my brake
hoods on drops and then taped. I spend a lot of time there. I do
find the bars a bit flexy / a lot flexy for harder single track /
mountain bike riding.
I would imagine the bullmoose bars would be the true choice for that.

I have a spring b67 that either needs to be tightened or something.
Never have been comfy on it. Springs make noise.

I get hotspots with spd's and only solution was look or wider platfor
pedals over the years I found. It was bad to where I couldn't walk had
to take shoes off . Felt like ballpean hammer on every pedal stroke.
Rides under 50 miles were ok as long as there wasn't huge amount of
hills and I concentrated on smooth circles.

I agreed with you at first on bar ends, and only got them because I
had a set of Dura Ace shifters in my tool box. I was going to use the
bar ends later on a touring bike. Trouble is after riding the bar
ends I liked them better. (remember my friends think I'm wacko and I
just may be.) Especially on the front where nothing ever seems to
index correctly on a triple.

Dang cycling is fun.. :)

If you get a chance try riding your unicycle on rollers.. :)
